Fifth Harmony live in Manila

“Uh-huh I’m worth it!” screamed the fans as the international girl group Fifth Harmony sang one of their hits “Worth It” at the Mall of Asia Arena during the Manila / Philippine leg of their 7/27 world tour last April 5 2017.

Thanks to Smart Communications, I was able to watch the show live at the MOA Arena. Their official hashtag for the night was #smartfifthharmony

Even though lacking one member, the foursome fifth harmony did not disappoint and gave their filipino fans a dynamite show. Dressed in coordinated outfits with the word “Pilipinas” printed on their shirts, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, Ally Brooke and Lauren Jauregui sang all of their hits including Sledgehammer, Boss and Miss Movin’ On. All their performances were spot on showing either love or stomping dance moves.

“The girls wearing their coordinated Pilipinas shirts”

With the departure of Camila Cabello, people thought that Fifth Harmony would lose their shine but the four remaining girls showed the world they can more than hold their own. The quartet sang their hits and proved they are much stronger today and that they still have IT. During the show and in between songs, the girls would sometimes show affection and support with each other most notably to Normani who’s been flying back and fourth to the states as she is currently a competing contestant of Dancing with the Stars.

“The quartet dancing to the tune of Worth it”

Their finale song of the night “Work from Home” was revamped and was a statement on it’s own. The song now starts with the lyrics “We ain’t worried bout nothing! We ain’t worried bout Nada!” sang by all the girls as if directed to their Ex-member Camila. The hit song usually starts with the distinct vocals of Camila but now Lauren sings the beginning and the rest of her lines. Lauren adds her raspy tone and she couldn’t have done it better. This now gives a new flavor to the already solid song. The concert ends with a bang as the quartet does an explosive dance routine to the now instrumental part of the song which used to also be Camila’s vocal solo.

In the end the ladies thanked their filipino fans by saying that they are one of the best crowds they ever performed for and by saying that they have the best fans in the world. Dinah Jane waved the Philippine Flag much to the audiences delight before exciting the stage. Indeed the show was a success and was definitely WORTH IT.
