Work has been crazy good lately, meaning, my flights have been smooth and lots of events/projects has come my way. Your boy is definitely #hashtag hustlinghard but sometimes things do get difficult to manage.
I get so caught up with the things I need to finish and end up shortchanging other areas in my life that need time too (I usually give up rest/“me” time and night out with my friends which BTW I really miss!).
Realizing this, I wanted to treat myself for being the hardworking multi-hyphenate that I’ve become and give my body and mind the rest it deserves. I decided to finally have a staycation at Jinjiang Inn Ortigas.
I’ve heard so much about the place and I once attended an event at their hotel so I was curious to see how staying there would be like.
For those of you who don’t know, Jinjiang Inn is actually a Business Boutique Hotel that offers comfort and convenience at a friendly price. Staying in isn’t as expensive as in other hotels but they really give value for money. They currently have 2 branches, one in Ortigas and one in Makati.

LOCATION – 10/10
The Jinjiang Inn Ortigas is located right at the heart of Ortigas Business District. Significant companies, shopping malls, and restaurants are nearby (walking distance). This makes life easier and getting around hassle-free. All that you’ll ever need is right within reach.
CHECK-IN – 10/10
Check-in was easy and hassle free. All their employees were helpful and ready to assist. Upon getting off my booked grab car, one of their security guards immediately approached me and helped me with my luggage. I didn’t ask for assistance but he was courteous enough to help.
At the concierge, checking my room reservation and issuing the room keys were seamless and quick. In less than 5 minutes, I already have my room keys. The employee who handled my check in was also extremely nice and helpful. She answered all my queries and accommodated my requests. (I requested for extra water bottles and a well lit room)
As I was about to head up, another staff member approached me and offered to carry my bag, I refused of course since I can manage but they seem to genuinely want to help which is a really nice gesture.
ROOM – 9.5/10
The room I got was a standard room but it was situated at a corner so the light entered the room very nicely.
The queen size bed was very comfortable and the entire room was spacious and clean. I instantly knew I’d be able to sleep comfortably here.
The comfort room was spacious and clean as well.
The wifi connection was also very strong. I had three gadgets connected simultaneously and I didn’t experience any problem. Hotels should always have a strong internet connection because most guests are there for business trip and these people need to get work done.
The television and air conditioning worked perfectly fine and I didn’t encounter any problem all throughout.
DINNER – 9/10
Instead of heading out to grab dinner, I decided to stay in and try out the hotel’s restaurant “Horizon Cafe”.
I was greeted by their chef who also gave his recommendations on what’s best to order. As I was very hungry at that time, I decided to order Caesar Salad for Appetizer and Sizzling Bulalo + Lechon Macau for Main Course. I liked the Lechon Macau better but I finished all three plates. (NO JUDGEMENT PLEASE!)
AMENITIES – 7.5/10
This is the area thats a bit lacking but it really didn’t affect my overall stay experience. I wanted to go to the gym and do a bit of swimming pool laps but both were unavailable. I decided to use my time though on other things instead like finishing up my pending contents.
Laundry service, luggage storage and car rentals is also available for guests. And although I booked a Grab to get to the hotel, a private parking space is provided for guests who wish to bring in cars.
A unique feature of the hotel is that they have conference rooms that you may use to hold meetings. As a “Business” hotel, people check-in here not just for leisure but also for work. Guests may opt to use the conference rooms (6-chair room and 12-chair room) to hold their business meetings.
OVERALL
My overall stay at the Jinjiang Inn Ortigas was very comfortable. I give the hotel an overall rating of 9/10 and a hotel staff rating of 10/10. I really got recharged after that undisturbed full night sleep. I slept so well that I missed out on the breakfast buffet but I have no regrets as sleep is life!
Staying at a comfortable hotel really gave my mind and body the time off it needs and now I’m definitely ready to return and be the go getter millennial that I am.
I definitely recommend staying at the Jinjiang Inn if you want to have a comfortable staycation/accommodation with your family and loved ones that is very much friendly on the pocket.
